Winlet glazing robots a big hit with Hird glass handling customers

Winlet glazing robots a big hit with Hird glass handling customers

Revolutionary glazing robots from Winlet are proving to be a big hit – thanks to the excellent capabilities of these new glass handling and lifting machines.

Hird is the UK and Ireland distributor for the Winlet glazing robot, manufactured in Denmark by GMV. The glass handling equipment is proving very popular with our customers.

We would invite glass handling installers to see the machines for themselves by visiting the Hird stand at Vertikal Days on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 June, at Haydock Park, Merseyside.

The two models available, the Winlet 350 and the Winlet 575, provide excellent performance for glass carrying and manipulation, both in terms of weight and function, in a highly compact machine.

Both models have overhead glass installation capability and impressive reach, with precision control of glass panels to aid final placement or removal.

They are powered with long-lasting electric batteries. The Winlet 350 has a lifting capacity of 350kg and a max working height of 2.8m, yet can transport glass through a standard single doorway.

The Winlet 575 has a lifting capacity of 575kg and a max working height of 3.6m and can still carry glass through a standard double doorway.

The powerful vacuum lifters on the Winlet glazing robots allow the machine to be used to carry other materials such as concrete, plasterboard, tiles, steel plates, doors and stone sheets.

Winlet glazing robots have all-terrain capability and are available for sale or for hire via our:

  • Southern depot, serving London and the south
  • Central depot, serving the midlands, Wales and east of England
  • Northern depot, serving the north, north east and Scotland.
