Spider cranes prove that big is not always beautiful. In today’s modern, fast-moving work sites, spider cranes are ideal for getting jobs done quickly and safely.
Spider cranes are mini cranes that have four outrigger legs that are deployed for stabilisation. So it’s clear why it’s called a spider crane.
Once the outriggers are deployed, spider cranes can carry out lifts that are impressive for their compact dimensions.
For example, the UNIC URW 094, our smallest spider crane, weighs only 1,000kg but can lift a maximum weight of 995kg. And at 595mm in width, the URW 094 can fit through a standard door.
At the other end of the scale, the UNIC URW 706, is our heavy weight spider crane with a lifting capacity of 6 tonnes and a maximum working height of 19.5m.
Our UNIC spider cranes are all propelled by tracks and so are ideal for travelling across uneven terrain. There are options for petrol, diesel or electric powered spider cranes in our fleet.
Among many different applications, these versatile and ultra compact mini cranes are ideal for glass lifting, panel fitting, machine maintenance, machinery moving and construction site work.
Excellent weight distribution, which lowers the point loads, means our spider cranes for hire or for sale, are ideal for working on unstable ground.
