Valla Cranes has provided Hird with a special version of one of its most versatile mini cranes – demonstrating its ability to develop bespoke lifting solutions.
The impressive mini crane’s main boom provides a maximum radius of 10 metres, at which point it is capable of lifting 1,500kg.
It has a new, and improved, fully-hydraulic telescoping boom, giving a maximum boom height of 13m. The mini crane has a hydraulic fly jib with a tip height of 16m and a 40 degree sweep.
Hird Managing Director Phil Hird worked closely with Valla Cranes on the design and specifications of the Valla 180ES mini crane.
He said mini cranes were already helping to transform the workplace, reducing risks from manual handling – and the new Valla 180ES takes that process to a new level.
“The idea was to have one crane to cover all requirements and assist both the end user and our own workforce to eliminate all manual handling.
“To be able to mini cranes for hire or for sale with this level of performance is very powerful, and we’re looking forward to demonstrating the new model to customers.”
Hird can also provide crane operator training, for a wide range of machines, including compact cranes, pick and carry cranes and spider cranes.
The company operates a nationwide service, with rapid access to a network of factory-trained mobile service engineers for both mini cranes and glass handling equipment.
