Mini crane, powered access and glass handling equipment specialist Hird will be putting on a little and large show at Vertikal Days next month.
It will be displaying two Valla mini cranes – an 18 tonne machine and a two tonne machine – at the lifting and access event at Haydock Park, Merseyside, on 13 and 14 May 2015.
Hird will also be showing off its Winlet glazing robot, which is fast-becoming the go-to machine for glass installation specialists.
The Valla 180E pick and carry mini crane is one of the big boys of the Hird mini crane hire fleet, with a maximum lifting capacity of 18 tonnes.
The electric crane is fume-free and has non-marking tyres so is ideal for both indoor and outdoor work.
By contrast, the Valla 25EL + Fly Jib mini crane has a maximum lifting capacity of two tonnes, and is in demand for a range of applications, notably glass installation.
Hird Mini Crane Sales and Aftersales Manager Carl Cooper said: “Vertikal Days is an ideal opportunity to reflect on the range of mini cranes we have to offer.
“As the Valla Cranes authorised dealer in the UK and Ireland, we can offer these mighty mini cranes for hire or for sale.
“In both cases, we’re getting growing interest from clients, who see the benefits of enhanced productivity and health and safety that mini cranes deliver.
“There is a risk that companies in many sectors, including construction and manufacturing, will lift and move loads using sub-optimal procedures.
“This might involve making do with equipment not specifically designed for the job, or including elements of manual handling.
“In both cases, we can demonstrate that, set against the significant benefits of using mini cranes, taking such risks is just not worth it.
“And we would welcome visitors to our stand at Vertikal Days so we can do just that.”
Hird provides a mini crane hire and sales service across the UK from its three regional operating centres.
