Anatomy of a modern pick and carry crane – Valla’s V range

Anatomy of a Modern Generation Mini Crane

Hird’s Valla V cranes don’t just look the part of a modern pick and carry crane, they in every way define what the mini crane of the future should be able to do.

Our latest Machine Anatomy feature explains why this industrial crane redefines excellence in lifting, by giving our readers a sneaky peak under its skin.

Valla’s new V cranes are all electric powered, with advanced batteries for long shifts and sustainable operations.

They are all designed to be absolutely as compact as it is possible for a pick and carry crane to be.

Mini crane lifting advantages

Hird now has one of the largest fleets of Valla V cranes in Europe, some with cabs, others fully wireless remote controlled. Even the cabbed V cranes can be wirelessly remote controlled, as well.

Our Anatomy Of a Modern Pick and Carry Crane guide has buttons to click that reveal key information, specifically about the Valla V210RC mini crane, though all the cranes share similar advantages.

Industry-leading manoeuvrability, a wide range of accessories, including hydraulic jibs as standard and lifting forks for models across the range, are just two of those advantages.

Smart features, including stabilising bars that allow lifting of heavier loads further from the chassis, and – for the Valla V130RX – a chassis that extends.

This allows to the mini crane to be as compact as possible when being moved into position, then for the chassis to be extended to increase capacity, if that is needed.
