Busy start to Vertikal Days for Hird team
The Hird mini crane and materials lifting hire and sales teams have been at Vertikal Days this morning – and are reporting strong interest in its wide range of lifting machines. Even the weather at Haydock Park cheered up during the morning as Hird showed off the latest and best mini crane and materials lifting equipment in the UK.
Hird is putting on a strong display – but perhaps it will be one of the least sophisticated machines that will get a good deal of interest during the two-day event. It is the first time that the Wienold GML 800+ counterbalance floor crane has been displayed at Vertikal Days.
Hird helped design the machine which provides a quick, simple, safe and effective way to lift any materials, including glass, plasterboard, steel or timber. Given Hird’s position as one of the fastest growing glass lifter hire specialists, the GML 800+ materials lift at Vertikal Days is fitted with a vacuum lifter.
Other machines have been drawing a good deal of interest as well, including the Valla 20 TRX pick and carry mini crane – a mini crane that can easily cope with uneven ground on construction sites.
Also on show were two versions of the increasingly popular Winlet glazing robots – the Winlet 350 and the Winlet 575. These innovative, high performance machines are proving a big hit with curtain walling specialists as they can increase productivity while greatly reducing manual handling.
Hird has also been promoting its Valla pick and carry crane refurbishment service. Valla mini cranes are so rugged and high quality that they can give good service for years – and refurbished versions are made pretty much as good as new.
Key health and safety systems are also on show at the Hird stand, including 3B6 load monitoring systems, which can be retrofitted to a wide range of lifting equipment, including pick and carry cranes and spider cranes.
Hird is also displaying the Valla 90E pick and carry crane, one of the mid-range mini cranes available for hire and for sale. Another Hird star was not on the company’s stand – Maeda is showing off its brand new Maeda MC-815 tracked spider crane. Since Hird is the first mini crane hire company in the world to buy the machine, there was no surprise that the machine on display was in Hird livery.
We’re looking forward to taking delivery of our crawler spider crane soon Maeda!
