Long life of Valla mini cranes impresses petro-chemical customer
Hird has sold a Valla 25EL mini crane and a Valla 50D mini crane to one of the UK’s largest petro-chemical refineries.
The customer was impressed by how the mini cranes would still be lifting long after other makes had been sent for scrap.
Hird’s Carl Cooper said:
- “These Valla pick and carry cranes are leaders in the compact crane market.
“Their quality and robust design means they have a working life span of 15 to 20 years, while other plant machinery is only expected to last half that.
“Valla mini cranes also have all the very latest safety features such as 3B6 load monitoring systems, fitted as standard.
“They also have AC motors and larger batteries which makes them more efficient, maximises their reliability and, again, extends their working life.”
The petro-chemical customer will use the compact cranes for maintenance work in the confined and difficult spaces commonplace on refinery sites.
The Valla 25EL electric mini crane is just 950mm wide, has a maximum lifting capacity of 2.5 tonnes (2,500kg) and a boom with three telescopic sections.
The Valla 50D is a powerful diesel-powered mini crane. It is 1.6m wide, a maximum lifting capacity of 5 tonnes and also has a three-section telescopic boom.
Hird can provide a full service package which will ensure the mini cranes always perform at their best.
A full range of pick and carry cranes is also available for hire, along with various compact crane hire and glass handling accessories, from Hird’s southern depot, serving London and the south, the central depot, serving the midlands, Wales and east of England, and the northern depot, serving the north, north east and Scotland.
