Hird to showcase mini cranes and glazing robots at Executive Hire Show
Hird is preparing to show the range of mini cranes and glazing robots it has to offer to hire fleets at the Executive Hire Show 2014 in February.
The Hird team will have a Valla 25EL mini crane and a Winlet 350 glazing robot on display at EHS 2014, taking place at the Ricoh Arena, in Coventry, on 12th and 13th February.
Hird lifting expert Carl Cooper says he expects rental companies will show a lot of interest in the Valla 25E pick and carry crane and the revolutionary Winlet 350 glass handling robot.
He explained:
- “There has been a recent trend of rental customers reducing the roster of suppliers they use. So suppliers are looking at new ways to make sure they have a full range of machines including mini cranes and glazing robot available for hire.
“We are offering flexible and cost-effective ways that rental companies can offer our machines, including mini cranes, spider cranes, glass handling equipment and powered access machines, to customers.
“Rental companies can either buy the machines or there are rent-to-rent options we can discuss which means they have access to specialist equipment on terms that suit their own budgets and their customers’ needs.
“Hird can also provide turnkey solutions for many projects, including machinery lifting and moving, materials handling and glass installation. We believe it is highly advantageous for hire companies to have our expertise available when their customers need it.”
Carl said the Hird team will also be reminding hire fleet operators of advances in lifting and glass handling technology that are making machines like Valla mini cranes and Winlet glazing robots the best options in a wide number of applications.
He added:
“For example, Valla 25EL electric mini cranes weigh 1,950kg, but have a safe weight lift of 2,250kg
That means they can be carried in a construction site lift with a maximum load of 2,000kg, and can lift more than their weight when they gets to the point of works, which is impressive.
“Another advantage is that the pick and carry crane is lighter to transport which reduces costs and helps when accessing sites where ground conditions are an issue.
“The Winlet glazing robot is also revolutionary. It has a lift capacity of 350kg, can install overhead but has an ultra-compact design and is electric-powered so can work indoors in very confined spaces. It is already very popular with customers.
“What is more it is not just a glazing robot, because its powerful vacuum lifter technology can be used to lift, carry and install a wide range of non-porous materials, including steel, wood, plastic, concrete and stone.
“The Winlet glazing robot range also includes the Winlet 575 and Winlet 600 delivering lifting capacity of up to 600kg, but with the same unique set of customer benefits, high productivity and flexibility.”
Hird is the UK and Ireland distributor for both Valla mini cranes and Winlet glazing robots. Mini cranes and glazing robots are available for rent or for sale on a national basis via Hird’s three depots.
