On successful completion of the course delegates will receive a certificate and photo-card.
This certification has a validity of 5 years, after which refresher training shall be required to renew.

- Anyone who is required to operate a wheeled loading shovel.
- Course delegates may be new to the role or have operating experience without the appropriate certification.

- Good hand/eye co-ordination

Course Content
- Legislation, standards, & guidance
- Principle components, the basic construction, controls and terminology
- Pre-start, running checks and shut down procedures
- Mounting and dismounting
- Underground & overhead services and other hazards
- Stability of the machine
- Prepare and configure the wheeled loading shovel for site and road travel
- Place the machine in an out of service condition
- Excavations from an embankment of different materials and the forming of stockpiles and ramps
- Load integrity and security
- Loading/unloading procedures for machine transportation
