Product of the month – SLK 25 Counterbalance Floor Crane

Counterbalance floor cranes are relatively simple easy-to-use devices for low level lifting tasks – including glass lifting. Our Product of the Month for June, the SLK 25 is an excellent example of this versatile machine.

The SLK 25 is an excellent addition to our extensive counterbalance floor crane hire fleet, with its maximum lifting capacity of 300 kg.

Counterbalance floor cranes are designed specially to allow lifting up to and against vertical flat surfaces. As its name suggests, the load weight at the front of the crane is counterbalanced at the back.

This allows the operator to use the counterbalance floor crane to lift and place a load against walls or high-level window or door openings.

Versatility of the SLK 25 counterbalance floor crane

Counterbalance floor cranes can be used for a number of lifting tasks, including glass installation, large screen installation, light rigging installation, and curtain wall assembly.

Its standard lifting height is 7.9 metres. When stowed, its height reduces to 2.04 metres and its length is just 1.02 metres. While its width stowed is just 0.8 metres.

The counterbalance floor crane chassis weighs 204 kg. With eight counterbalance weights fitted – they can easily be removed and added – that increases to 322 kg. However, its swivel casters means that the crane can be guided with precision into position by just one operative.

Ideal for low level glass installation

The Wienold SLK 25 counterbalance floor crane can be carried to a lifting site in a van and quickly assembled. It can be fitted with a glass vacuum lifter or with a winch.
