Product of the Month – Dingli JCPT2223DC scissor lift
Our first Product of the Month of 2025 is one of the latest additions to our access platform hire fleet – the Dingli JCPT2223DC scissor lift.
The investment highlights Hird’s determination to be at the forefront of offering the latest electric access platforms, for their performance advantages and reduced carbon footprints.
Its introduction follows hard on the heels of the Dingli JCPT2212DC scissor lift, which shares some of the same performance parameters.
The big difference is that platform is a Slim Jim while the Dingli JCPT2223DC has broader shoulders. More on that later.
Versatile and productive
The Dingli JCPT2223DC is a large electric scissor lift. It has a maximum working height of 22m, and combines excellent performance, both indoors and outdoors, with zero emissions operation.
This near silent, emissions-free operation is key to its attractiveness to a whole range of Hird customers, including steel erectors, façade installers, roofers and EME installers.
It also has non-marking tyres. It means the scissor lift can be put to work just as easily on indoor as outdoor tasks. This versatility has the potential to reduce the number of platforms needed on a worksite.
In turn, that reduces costs, increases utilisation and reduces the number platforms on site, streamlining planning and reducing site clutter, which is good for productivity and safety.
Powerful and reliable
Being an electric scissor lift, also delivers key performance advantages. The Dingli JCPT2223DC has four-wheel drive and four-wheel steer.
Each wheel is driven by a separate, sealed electric motor. There is less to go wrong and fewer parts that can be damaged. The motors are water-tight and dust-resistant. This makes the scissor lift more reliable.
Electric drive delivers buckets of torque (we’ve all seen how a Tesla can rocket away from a standing start: it’s the same principle, just more sedate).
This makes contributes to very precise, proportional controls, excellent performance on slopes (with a gradeability of 30%) and, combined with four-wheel steer, easy positioning in constrained spaces.
Also, as there are fewer hydraulic systems on the Dingli JCPT2223DC scissor lift, there is less risk of oils spills causing a potentially very costly pollution incident.
Large working platform
The feature on the scissor lift that is most important is its platform. It has a capacity of 750kg, and is 4.3m long and 2.25m wide.
It also has a large platform extension, which is 2.7m long. This creates a working space that can be up to 6m long – enough space for multiple team members and their tools to work together.
This is an important point of difference between the two large Dingli scissor lifts in our hire fleet.
The JCPT2212DC is also a large four-wheel-drive electric scissor, but with narrow platform deck measuring 4.72m by 1.25m, with a 1.8m extension deck, allowing it to operate in narrow aisles or in particularly tight spaces.
For both scissor lifts, the capacity of their hydraulically-powered extension decks is the same as the main platform, and they can be driven at full height at maximum capacity.
The Dingli JCPT2223DC scissor lift also has plenty of features to keep operatives safe and make their work easier.
It has a self-weight lowering system, an emergency pump and stop button, a platform load sense system, plus tilt and motion alarms. The scissor lift also has an onboard fault diagnostic system.
