Richard joins expanding crane and lifting sales team

Hird Ltd has boosted its cranes and lifting equipment sales team with the appointment of Richard Tomlinson as a National Sales Specialist.

Richard has more than 30 years’ experience working in the plant hire, sales and construction sectors and will report to National Sales and After Sales Manager Carl Cooper.

Hird Managing Director Phil Hird said: “We’re always determined to provide our customers with the best lifting expertise and advice, so they get the right equipment every time.

“Richard has a wealth of lifting experience, having previously worked for a forklift hire and sales specialist, and is ready to support our growing portfolio of lifting sales customers.”

Richard, who lives near Hull, in East Yorkshire, said: “Hird supplies an impressive range of equipment to customers across the UK and internationally, so I am excited by this opportunity.

“My job will be to make sure they get the right lifting solutions for their needs. That includes supplying the right equipment, at the right price, and at the right time, and advising on lifting projects, including bespoke solutions.”

Hird is the UK and Ireland authorised dealer for both Valla pick and carry cranes, and for Winlet, manufacturer of some of the world’s most advanced glazing robots.

It can also source and supply other lifting equipment, including material lifts, spider cranes, and lifting accessories.
