Two new directors for Hird
UK based rental company Hird has appointed two new directors to its board, Carl Norfolk and John Wilding. Both appointments are effective as of the 3rd January.
Norfolk who has been in the lifting industry for over 30 years, joined Hirds from Sangwin Plant Hire, since when he has managed the company’s contract lifting and machine moving division. He has, says the company, “played a pivotal role in helping modernise the techniques used and develop this side of the business with rapid results.”
Wilding joined Hirds in 2010 and has been the driving force behind the company’s expansion into the South of England, The company said: “John has been at the forefront of the opening in 2010 of the company’s Southern branch allowing us to service large projects like the Shard building and Olympic development expansion plans, we would like to wish them every success in their new appointments.”
Hird sells and rents a wide range of lifting and access equipment as well as being a major operator training company. It is headquartered in Hull.
