New powered access investment
Hull based powered access specialist, Hird Group, has added to its fleet of Electric Scissor Lifts and Diesel Scissor Lifts, for hire in order to meet a rising demand from its customers needing to work at height.
Hirds has purchased the MEWPs (mobile elevating work platforms) from the world’s leading manufacturer of powered access, Genie.
The investment totals 21 new machines made up of 6 different models.
New electric scissor lifts for hire:
• Genie GS-1932
• Genie GS-2632
• Genie GS-3246
New diesel scissor lifts for hire:
• Genie GS-3269
• Genie GS-5390
As part of the ongoing investment in its powered access fleet, Hirds can now offer its access customers its largest scissor lift for hire to date – the Genie GS-5390 (see pic).
The GS-5390 has a working height of 18.15m (59.5ft) and a lifting capacity of 680kg (1,499lbs). This diesel scissor lift has rough terrain wheels and is therefore ideal for outdoor use. Its extendable platform, or deck size, is 3.98×2.29m, but when fully extended measures 6.57×2.29m offering fantastic versatility.
Hirds will continue to add to its access fleet over the coming months, with further machines on order such as the JLG T10 and the HR15N.
As well as providing the UK with the very best in powered access hire, Hirds also provides mini crane hire, glass lifting equipment hire, contract lifting and machine moving services.
