Anatomy of a Winlet 400 TL glazing robot
The latest Hird Anatomy feature showcases a machine that is one of the truly most impressive all rounders in the Hird hire fleet.
The Winlet 400 TL glazing robot is designed to excel at multiple tasks and will amaze work teams, plus other work teams on any site, while carrying them out.
The vacuum glazing robot has three key star qualities:
- It has all-terrain capability, so can overcome the lumps and bumps of an everyday construction site with greater ease.
- It has a longer reach than comparable glazing robots, given its size.
- It also has a hydraulic side shift, that moves loads from side to side, with no need to reposition the machine.
You can explore this real glass lifting-show off yourself, with our Anatomy of guide, that allows you to explore more of these capabilities, simply by clicking on the buttons on our interactive graphic.
Install glass with smaller teams
The Winlet 400 TL has a maximum capacity of 415kg and can carry a load of up to 200kg on its side, to transport glass sheets to where they need to be installed.
As a battery electric, fume-free glass installation machine it also creates a small carbon footprint, makes almost no noise, and needs only a small team to install large glazed panels.
But we’re not going to give away all its secrets. You can discover them for yourself. One thing we will say, however, is that the Winlet 400 TL is just one glazing robot in our hire fleet.
Hird has Winlet glass lifting robots with capacities from 350kg up to 1000kg, with some that can lift curved glass sheets, as well as flat glass ones.
