Product of the Month – Grove GMK 3050 mobile crane

Our Grove GMK 3050 is available for hire or for contract lifting projects and is kept busy across the UK.
The machine has a maximum lifting capacity of 50 tonnes – with a 38 metre five-section boom, and a maximum tip height of 40.1 metres.
The mobile crane also has a lattice extension with lift points at 8.7 metres and 15 metres.
This gives the Grove GMK 3050 excellent reach, making it ideal for working on lift projects where space is confined, such as lifting roofing joists on construction sites.
It is little wonder that hundreds of these mobile cranes are in service around the world – and that is in demand with our mobile crane hire customers.
The crane’s all terrain capability is enhanced by separate independent steering of the 3rd axle line and crab-steering controlled by an electric rocker switch.
The GMK 3050 also features MEGATRAK suspension, an independent hydropneumatic system with hydraulic lockout acting on all wheels.
Its suspension can be raised 170 mm or lowered 130 mm both longitudinally and transversely and has an automatic levelling system for on-highway travel.
The mobile crane has been used on a wide range of projects, including sea wall construction, roof truss lifting, machinery moving and installations at hazardous chemical plants.
