Hird is continuing to offer a complete suite of training courses to its customers across the UK. The boom hire, scissor lift hire and pick and carry crane hire specialists based in Hull, Yorkshire, can deliver its courses from its Northern Depot, in Hull, the Central Depot, in Doncaster, or the new Southern Depot just outside London.
Hird’ training department has broken down its portfolio of operator training courses into six key areas. These are:
• Lifting courses
• Working at height courses
• Health & safety courses
• Forklift truck courses
• Construction plant courses
• NVQ assessments
A selection of the most popular training courses include: Appointed Person, Crane Supervisor, Mobile Crane, Crawler Crane, Slinger Signaller, Dumper, Mini Digger, MEWP (Scissor Lift & Boom), Rough Terrain Masted, Telescopic Fork Truck and A66 Compact Crane courses.
The company is accredited by IPAF, PASMA, City & Guilds and RTITB to deliver training courses. Hird is also a fully accredited test centre for the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS). This card scheme is designed to prove the skills of plant operators – and is the largest and best recognised scheme of its kind in the plant industry.
All training courses are available at highly competitive rates and, if customers are unable to get to a Hird training site, most can also be delivered at a customer’s own site if the facilities are suitable. Hird can also tailor training programmes to suit individual trainee or company needs.
