Product of the Month - Dingli JCPT2212DC electric scissor lift

Moments when a contractor responds with skepticism to the idea of hiring an electric rough terrain scissor lift are getting fewer and further between.

Times are changing, and rapidly. Our Hird Product of the Month for October, the Dingli JCPT2212DC scissor lift, is one of the reasons why.

The reasons? For one, the Dingli JCPT2212DC proves that high quality electric RT scissor lifts are, in many ways, even better than standard diesel scissors.

Productivity advantages

The scissor lift has a maximum working height of 22m, making it one of the biggest all-electric scissor lifts in the UK, right now.

With its ability work both outdoors and indoors, it is an ideal platform hire option for large structure fit-out projects, for example working in new warehouse, office, and retail developments.

The Dingli JCPT2212DC brings key advantages for MEWP utilisation and productivity on such projects.

For example, it can be operated flexibly both in outdoor and interior environments, creating the opportunity to reduce the number of platforms needed on site at any one time.

It can also be used for tasks across the lifetime of the project, from steel erection, to cladding installation, internal fit-out and then back to external snagging.

This, has the potential to simplify MEWP hire planning, reducing administration, with fewer platform deliveries and collections, and reduced costs.

Performance advantages

The Dingli JCPT2212DC scissor lift’s  direct drive electric motors also deliver a number of important advantages for Hird customers.

They give the scissor lift near-silent, zero-emissions operation, supporting a safer and more sustainable working environment.

They also ensure compliance for working in low-emissions zones, in noise-sensitive areas – such as close to schools and care homes – and at times of the day when noisy working is prohibited, for example early mornings and later in the evening.

The scissor lift has four-wheel drive and four-wheel steer, which contributes to precise scissor lift control, enhancing productivity, safety and operator experience.

The additional torque delivered by the electric direct drive motors helps power the scissor lift through the most challenging conditions and the efficiency in the way power is delivered contributes to long battery life.

As the motors are built into sealed units, they are more resistant to dust and water ingress, aiding reliability and eliminating the risk of hydraulic oil spills that can cause pollution and floor damage.

Flexibility advantages

It is these performance advantages that are encouraging more Hird scissor lift hire customers to come to the conclusion that the Dingli JCPT2212DC is a smart choice.

The RT scissor lift has a platform capacity of 600kg, is designed for two-person operation, and can be driven at full height at full capacity.

The platform is 4.3m long, with a 1.8m powered extension deck, which allows the 600kg capacity to be maintained.

At just 1.25 metres wide, the scissor lift can be operated in relatively confined space – for example in warehouse aisles, and on work sites where other machines require space to operate.

Gradeability of 25% and non-marking tyres also contribute to the Dingli JCPT2212DC’s flexibility and productivity.
