Product of the Month – Genie GS-2669 RT
Genie has no doubt that its GS-2669 RT is a beefy character – a scissor lift’s scissor lift. Because in its marketing blurb Genie states that this is the scissor lift that allows you to “Dominate the Jobsite”.
Wow. No wonder Hird Group has invested in such an impressive piece of kit. And no wonder that we are featuring the GS-2669 RT as our Product of the Month for April.
Talking of Beefy and dominating – if the GS-2669 RT was a male cricketer, we presume it would be Ian Botham. Utterly reliable, and guaranteed to give the Aussies a solid biffing, no matter how they fiddled with their ball.
Right now, the only way the English cricket team might beat another team on tour would be if they bowled from the top of a Genie GS-2669 RT scissor lift, with the balls fired from a cannon rather than lobbed by human hand. But that’s another story.
Back to the Genie GS-2669 RT, the other connection with cricket is that this scissor lift is an excellent outdoor machine. The RT stands for Rough Terrain, and this scissor lift certainly likes it tough.
Genie has revamped its RT69 family, adding extra capability and performance which Hird is delighted to now offer to customers.
Genie GS-2669 RT scissor lifts can lift a 680kg load to a height of 9.7 metres. They have chunky foam-filled tyres for confident traction across muddy construction sites and gradients up to 40%.
The power of its low-noise and low-emissions diesel engine has been increased by 30%, allowing it to drive through sand, mud, and over curbs with ease.
This go-pretty-much-anywhere-within-the-bounds-of-sanity approach is further supported by an active oscillating front axle and full four-wheel drive with positive traction control.
With all this go anywhere capability, our customers will be pleased to know the scissor lifts are also fitted with excellent safety features, including a tilt level sensor with an audible alarm, a descent alarm, and all-wheel braking.
Genie GS-2669 RT scissor lift can be driven at full height which, together with the excellent cross-terrain capability, contributes to excellent productivity, even in the most demanding conditions.
The lift also provides an excellent work platform, with increased work space thanks to a 2.79 m x 1.6 m steel frame platform with replaceable aluminium deck and folding guardrails and a full-height swing gate.
It also has a multi-position slide-out deck giving a maximum platform length if 3.6m. So, there is plenty of space for a team of personnel to operate with equipment and materials.
There is also AC power to the platform and proportional lift and drive, for precise and safe positioning of the scissor lift for the optimum work conditions – and on-board diagnostics allow operators to troubleshoot on the go and maximise the performance settings in the field.
So, our Genie GS-2669 RT scissor lift hire fleet combines power, precision, multi-purpose capability, and reliability in the face of the biggest challenges that can be put in its way.
You can keep your sticky tape down your trousers. There’s no stopping this beefy 3376kg (gross weight) of scissor lift rough terrain powered access beefcake.
