New Range of A-frames, glass mules & glass lifting accessories
Hird now offers an extensive range of glass mules (or power trucks) and glass A-frame trolleys for hire across its UK depot network.
Glass mules are used in conjunction with glass A-frame trolleys to safely move panes of glass. Using a glass mule means that there is a minimal amount of manual handling, as the power truck itself takes the weight when pulling the A-frame’s load. Glass Mules are small, manoeuvrable, reliable and as the name suggests – extremely powerful!
Hird’ range of glass mules can tow up to 3000kg in weight, and models such as the Jobmaster 1500 and the Jobmaster HD 3000 can be fitted with an additional load cage that can take a further 250kg.
As well as offering great stability and capacity for your load, every glass mule in the range has a 12 mile range with a full load on a single charge, and a full charge takes approximately 4 hours.
The range of A-frame trolleys, or stillage trolleys, take up to 1000kg in weight. All trolleys are wooden lined to prevent materials slipping, and all trolleys have locking brakes.
A vast range of glass handling and lifting equipment is available nationwide, from the Hird Northern Depots – serving Scotland, the North East and North West; Central Depots – serving Wales, the West Midlands and East Midlands and Southern Depots – serving East Anglia, the South East, South West and London.
All of our glass lifting equipment and accessories is available for hire; however we can also offer full contract lift packages, so please call us on 01482 227333 to discuss your requirements.
