Hird guide 2.0 – bigger and better but it’s still pocket-sized

Hird guide 2.0 – bigger and better but it’s still pocket-sized

Hird’s ground-breaking pocket guide – copied but never bettered – has been thoroughly overhauled and expanded in time to be launched at Vertikal Days.

The guide now contains technical details about even more machines, equipment and training courses in an action-packed 289 pages.

But it will still fit snuggly in our customers’ pockets, giving them ready access to all the information they need to make informed hire decisions.

The Hird Pocket Guide 2.0 is being handed out at Vertikal Days, Europe’s largest lifting and powered access show, at Peterborough Showground on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd September.

Trusted information

Hird Managing Director Phil Hird said: “There’s no substitute for having all the information you need at your fingertips. Our customers made full use of our first pocket guide.

“Now our version 2.0 guide brings them even more hire options for lifting, working at height, and training to make their work safer and more productive than ever before.

“The Hird Pocket Guide has proved very popular with our customers. It gives relevant, accurate and trusted information about the best lifting and access equipment in the UK.

“When combined with Hird’s fast and professional response to enquiries, with rapid delivery and collection of all equipment and export support, it means our customers can get the help they need whenever and wherever they are. No internet signal is required.”

The publication also contains lots of information that we know our customers value about using our machines and equipment.

Safety and productivity

The Hird 2.0 Pocket Guide reflects the capability and innovation across the company’s hire fleet, including the expanded ErgoMover range.

The material carriers are ideal for carrying loads of up to 1500kg across construction sites – an increasingly important benefit to boost safety and productivity with smaller workforces.

The guide may be compact but there is still room for the bigger kit in the Hird hire fleet, like the exciting new Valla V80R pick and carry crane, on display at Vertikal Days.

Hirds next generation Valla Pick and Carry Cranes

It looks futuristic and, as one of Valla’s next generation pick and carry cranes, it has futuristic capabilities. With a maximum safe working load of 8,000kg, it is operated by a wireless remote control.

As an electric battery crane, the Valla V80R also provides sustainable zero-emissions and low carbon footprint operation and comes with multiple attachments, including a fly jib and forklift.
