  • Highly-efficient batteries

Our tracked carriers are fitted with highly-efficient AGM (absorbent glass mat) batteries that are better at withstanding the type of work they do, optimising the reliability of the materials transporters.

The sealed batteries are maintenance free and charge more rapidly than standard batteries. The machines have both 110v and 230v charging points.

  • Direct drive motors

Hird’s Tracked Carriers are fitted with direct drive AC motors.

These are highly efficient, contributing to the carriers’ long battery life and their excellent traction control.

Because the carriers use no hydraulic drive systems, there is no risk of polluting oil spills. The sealed units are also water and dust resistant, contributing to the carriers’ excellent reliability.

  • Fifth wheel

Our TC-1200 PRO Tracked Carrier comes equipped with a fifth wheel and dolly accessory. This facilitates the transport of longer, heavy loads, for example steel and wooden beams.

The accessory makes carrying bulky loads safer with smaller work teams. The dolly is manually steerable and gives an extra 1,000kg capacity to the carrier.

  • Carrying platform

The highly stable load platform has multiple points for securing loads with hooks and straps. It can be used to carry palletised and bagged loads, or single items of equipment.

The TC-4000 PRO’s platform also has extendable support bars to assist the transportation of large loads, and the platform can be rotated infinitely via the remote control unit.

  • Extra power

Hird’s tracked carriers deliver extra power where and when you need it, through its 24v auxiliary power output.

This supports the use of tools, for example for the installation of equipment carried to remote locations.

  • Remote control

All three Tracked Carrier models available for hire from Hird are operated with a remote control unit. This allows the operator to stand in the best position to control the machine and its load.

The remote control unit’s LDC screen shares diagnostic data and information. Safety features include digital gradient monitoring and a switchable motion alarm.

  • Three load capacities

Hird supplies tracked carriers, each with different load sizes – the TC-1200 PRO, with a load capacity of 1,200kg, the TC-2200 PRO, which can carry 2,200kg and the TC-4000 PRO, with a capacity of 4,000kg.

Our TC-2200 PROs and TC-4000 PROs are fitted with non-marking white tracks, while the TC-1200 PRO is compact enough (width: 750mm) to take loads through single doorways.

Tracked Carriers

These are highly-compact material carriers designed to operate across sensitive floors or challenging terrain. They have rubber tracks that make light work of difficult working conditions.

The carriers’ proportional controls help power the machines safely up 45o gradients and across 30o slopes, as well as allowing operatives to place them with precision.
