Home Hird-News Product of the month – Angled forklift attachment

Product of the month – Angled forklift attachment

We provide our customers with some of the most sophisticated lifting equipment in the world.

But we also appreciate a simple solution when we see one, which is precisely why the Angled Forklift Attachment is in our hire fleet.
This piece of equipment can be quickly and easily attached to the forks of a forklift truck or telehandler.

It then provides a safe and effective solution for lifting many items including construction materials, machinery and work tools.

For companies that operate telehandlers or forklift trucks, the Angled Forklift Attachment is ideal for lifting any object that is of a non-standard weight or shape, or is not stored in a standard way, such as on a pallet.

When combined with other attachments, such as vacuum lifters, or stone grabs, it also becomes an excellent low-cost materials moving and installation device.

It is also an ideal lifting solution where space is extremely limited because a forklift truck is designed to operate in confined spaces.

Simple design – big lifting capacity

The Angled Forklift Attachment consists of an angled extendable beam, with a lifting hook at the end, welded to a fixing point that slides over the forks.

The beam has two lifting settings – closed, and extended. Despite its simplicity, the angled forklift attachment delivers impressive lifting performance, both in terms of the weight and shape of objects being lifted.

Set in its closed position (Jib 1), it has maximum lifting weight of 1,500kg, and in the extension position (Jib 2), it can lift a maximum 1,000kg.

The Angled Forklift Attachment is easy to use. It weighs just 55kg, and has a carrying handle to help operatives lift the device into position and secure it quickly to the forks.

Low cost, effective and safer lifting

This is a low-cost, low-tech but effective lifting solution which is ideal in a number of environments, including construction sites, commercial premises, warehouses, and factories.

This makes the Angled Forklift Attachment an excellent hire choice for construction contractors, glass installers, warehouse operators, manufacturing site managers, facilities management companies and machinery moving specialists.

It will eliminate a significant amount of manual handling, making lifting and materials moving operations in any workplace environment safer, faster and more efficient.

Part of a comprehensive lifting service

Of course, if customers need more sophisticated materials or equipment lifting solutions, the full range of machines in Hird’s lifting equipment hire fleet is at their disposal.

We can provide mini cranes, spider cranes, glazing robots, vacuum lifters, and a full range of lifting attachments and equipment, including slings, harnesses, hoists and load measuring devices.

Hird also has a comprehensive range of powered access equipment for hire, including cherry pickers, scissor lifts and personnel masts and booms. We also offer accredited lifting training courses.

All our lifting equipment, including the Angled Fork Attachment, is available for hire across the UK from our three operational centres. Call us today to experience our expert, friendly service.
