Product of the Month – Hinowa Lightlift 26.14 Performance IIIS

Product of the Month – Hinowa Lightlift 26.14 Performance IIIS

Here are some words our clients use to describe our Product of the Month for March – ‘productive’, ‘very safe’, ‘smooth’, ‘precise’, and ‘phenomenal’.

They are all describing the Hinowa Lightlift 26.14 Performance IIIS tracked spider boom.

Platforms supplied by the Italian manufacturer are among the most popular articulating spider booms in the UK.

For a very good reason. They are very good! Which is why Hird is happy to have them in our spider boom hire fleet.

Excellent working height and reach

The Hinowa Lightlift 26.14 is a good case in point. It has a maximum working height of 25.70m and a working outreach of 13.73m.

With a travel width of just 990mm, the spider platform is excellent for accessing confined spaces.

The excellent outreach is a key advantage. It means that there is less likelihood that the spider platform will need to be repositioned to complete a job, for instance a roof survey.

That, in turn, maximises productivity and safety. On busy construction sites, reducing the need to continuously relocate platforms is a big advantage.

Tall building construction

On the subject of construction sites, Hinowa spider booms are very much coming into their own in urban working environments.

As revealed in a recent report on tall building development in London, planners are allowing tall buildings to be located closer together in high-rise development clusters.

This is restricting the space available to carry out construction tasks like steel erection and curtain wall installation.

The answer is, increasingly, to use our Hinowa tracked spider booms, which can often be moved into position more easily than conventional self-propelled articulating boom.

Tracked platform functionality

One of the reasons for this is the rough terrain capability of tracked spider booms, with their ability to operate across uneven, low load bearing and unstable ground.

Another is that, with the Hinowa LL 26.14 spider boom, like all Hinowa platforms, the tracks can be retracted to move it through narrow gaps.

The Hinowa LL 26.14 shares industry-leading functionality with other spider platforms in the Hinowa Performance IIIS range.

That means our access platform hire customers know their operatives will be just at home operating our LL 26.14 as the other Hinowa platforms we offer.

They are the Hinowa LL 14.70 IIIS (max working height 14m) and the Hinowa LL 17.75 Performance IIIS (max working height 17.06m).

Hinowa spider boom – key features

Other features that boost productivity and safety include:

  • An unrestricted basket capacity of 230kg.
  • Quick basket detachment for tracking through narrow gaps.
  • Hinowa’s Auto2Speed system for fast tracking speed.
  • One touch automatic outrigger stabilisation and destabilisation.
  • Smooth hydraulic controls for fast and precise basket positioning.
  • A built-in anti-entrapment system with audible and visible alarms.

Our Hinowa LL 26.14 spider boom is powered by long-lasting lithium-ion batteries, delivering zero-emissions and low-noise operation.

As such, it is the ideal platform hire choice for working at height indoors (where access may be restricted) or in sensitive outdoor environments, such as housing estates, care homes and hospitals.
