Hird welcomes Manitex International acquisition of Valla mini cranes

Hird has welcomed Manitex International’s acquisition of Valla mini cranes, saying it creates exciting opportunities to promote the innovative and highly capable pick and carry cranes to even more customers in the UK.

Hird is the sole UK and Ireland distributor of mini cranes, made by Valla in Piacenza, near Milan, Italy. Valla manufacturer a wide range of mini cranes, which are noted for the quality of their construction and the range of specialist capabilities.

Manitex International, based in Geogetown, near Austin, Texas, USA, is a leading provider of engineered lifting solutions, including vehicle-mounted booms, rough terrain cranes, rough terrain forklifts, reach stackers and other container-handling equipment.

In a statement made by Manitex International earlier this month View Statement, the company’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Rooke, said: “Valla has a well-established brand name in mobile, industrial cranes, and we are excited to add another outstanding product line to broaden our crane portfolio.”
