Hird Takes Innovating Lifting Solutions to LiftEx 2017

Hird Takes Innovating Lifting Solutions to LiftEx 2017

Hird Group is taking some of its best and most innovative lifting equipment to LiftEx 2017 – including a Manitex Valla pick and carry crane and two models from the formidable Winlet glazing robot range.

The company is joining 80 other exhibitors at the event at the International Centre Telford, in Shropshire, on Wednesday 29 November and Thursday 30 November.

Carl Cooper, Sales and After Sales Manager at Hird, said: “I’m confident visitors will be impressed with what we can show them in the way of state-of-the-art lifting equipment.

“As the authorised UK and Ireland distributors for both Manitex Valla Cranes and Winlet Glazing Robots, we can discuss purchase deals during LiftEx 2017.

“Both Valla mini cranes and Winlet glazing robots are key products in our pick and carry crane hire and glass lifting hire fleets as well, so we can also talk about short and long-term hire options as well.”

Hird is showing off a new Valla 50E pick and carry crane, which has a maximum safe lifting weight of five tonnes, and is packed with the latest safety and digital load monitoring features to support productive and efficient lifting.

Its stand will also have two Winlet glazing robots, the Winlet 1000, with a hugely impressive maximum lifting capacity of 1 tonne, and the baby of the range, the Winlet 350, which can lift a maximum 350kg.

Also on display will be the Wienold MFC 750 K mini floor crane, one of the latest counterbalance floor cranes in the Hird hire fleet. It has a highly compact footprint, yet can lift 750kg up to a height of 3.05 metres.

Carl Cooper said: “Interest in all these models is growing, as lifting contractors look for more effective, flexible, and cost-efficient ways to carry out their materials lifting projects.

“Valla mini cranes are ideal for carrying out lifting tasks in factory environments, and can be more flexible and productive than conventional systems, such as overhead gantries.

“Winlet glazing robots are taking the glass lifting industry by storm, as they impress curtain walling companies with their productivity and excellent safe materials handling features.

“The flexibility, industry-leading compactness, and impressive lifting capacity of the Wienold MFC 750 K will also catch the eye. We will be happy to discuss how we can help with any lifting project.

“LiftEx 2017 is an opportunity to meet industry partners and gain new ones, so we’re looking forward to the event. We would invite visitors to stop by at the Hird stand, we’ll give everyone a warm welcome.”
